Are you a doctoral student facing the exciting yet daunting challenges of academic life? The CAR Doctoral Consortium is here to guide you through the complexities of your journey and help chart a course for a successful academic career.
This year's consortium offers a unique opportunity for PhD students at all stages, as well as junior faculty, to meet, connect, and learn from distinguished speakers and each other. Our diverse and inclusive event brings together scholars from around the world, reflecting the vibrant global community of the CAR Division. You can expect engaging and interactive sessions on key topics including:
o Succeeding: Finding your first academic job
o Thriving: Building a network of mentors and collaborators
o Making It Happen: Navigating the dissertation process
o Head of the Class: Preparing for your first teaching role
o Balancing Act: Managing the demands of academic life

How to register: You must register for both the Academy of Management Conference and this PDW. Please email the following information to Eric Michel (ericjmichel@niu.edu) no later than July 17.

o Current status (e.g., PhD student – first year, second year, Assistant Professor, Postdoc)
o A current CV (max. two pages), including contact details, education, research/teaching interests, publications, and conference presentations
o Confirmation that you will attend in person and that you are or intend to register as a member of the Careers Division through the Academy of Management
