We're looking for someone who has completed their PhD and is interested in an entry level position teaching large classes. Our teaching load is relatively low and the position is tenured.
Christchurch has indeed recently suffered an earthquake, but all is quiet now and while the inner city will take a while to get back to where it was, this is still a beautiful place to live and an interesting place to do research.
