Thank you all for your willingness to review and the great submissions
for the 2006 Academy Meeting in Atlanta. I received many great papers and
symposia and I have had a great number of reviewers volunteer. Thus, many
of you may have noticed the load is a bit lighter since I was able to
spread it out. While our submissions are down a bit from last year, we are
well above the previous year.
If you haven't picked up your papers to review, I encourage you to do
it soon so that you get them in before February 7. Also, I want to remind
everyone that we have a history of strong and encouraging reviews, so I
want to keep that history alive! I have received a few weak reviews (e.g.
3-4 vague sentences), so I wanted to remind everyone to be critical and
rigorous, but also be kind and encouraging! Good reviews help your
colleagues develop their work and all together provide the great
reputation the Careers Division has developed.
Again, thank you all for the great set of submissions and for the many
reviewers and I will keep you posted as we begin putting together what
looks to be an excellent program!
