    Posted 09-25-2008 13:58

    Dear Careers Division Colleagues,

We are looking for a few new volunteers to assist with the Career Forum Abstracting Service.

The Career Forum Abstracts is an important part of the services provided by the Careers Division. The goal of the abstracting service is not to simply repeat verbatim the abstracts written by the authors but rather to highlight and provide an overview of research that has important implications for careers research and practice.

If you are new to the service, the process involves finding articles (from an assigned journal) that has implications for careers research, and writing a short abstract of the article.  The amount of work that you do is completely up to you.  The last issue was in April of 2008. Therefore, the time period to be covered is from May, 2008 thru October, 2008. Those articles that are most helpful explicitly state the link to careers research.

If you are ready, willing, and able to participate, please let me know.

    Many thanks,

    Barrie
