It is with great pleasure that The Reed Center for Diversity and Careers announces Dr. Madeline Crocitto as the recipient of our annual Outstanding Educator Award (2006).
Dr. Crocitto's nomination was selected based on her excellence performance in the classroom, her many journal articles on teaching techniques, and her expert contributions to student service learning-based education.
We had an especially large number of nominations this year (over 500) and thank all those who submitted nominations as well as our committee who examined a large number of documents, video tapes and the like. In fact, we had so many submissions this year that we must apologize for being over a month tardy in announcing this year's winner.
Your division should be especially proud to have members like Dr. Crocitto who make such outstanding contributions to the field.
Sincerely,
Dr. John Reed
The Reed Center for Diversity and Careers
