The Department of Psychological Science at The University of North Georgia invites applications for two full-time, tenure-track appointments at the rank of Assistant Professor of Psychological Science at the Dahlonega campus. Appointments are set to begin August 2015. Located north of Atlanta, the University of North Georgia is a state supported, coeducational, multi-campus institution of approximately 15,000 students known for its academic excellence.
The Dahlonega campus is a residential community of approximately 6,000 students nestled in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains.

Preferred Qualifications:- A strong commitment to undergraduate teaching in a liberal arts environment.
- Evidence of published scholarship and the ability to develop a productive research program involving students.
- Programs of research that offer the ability to include undergraduate researchers will be given special consideration.
- A commitment to undergraduate teaching and the establishment of a research program incorporating undergraduates is essential.
- Successful applicants will be able to teach lower and upper level courses as well as courses in their area of specialization. The standard teaching load is four courses per semester.
- Applicants will be expected to advise and actively coach students on academic issues, class scheduling, as well as career and graduate school preparation.
