    Dear Colleagues,

I look forward to your paper or symposium submissions to the Careers division for the 2015 Academy of Management conference, in Vancouver, BC / Canada. The number of Careers sessions is a direct function of the number of submissions – the more submissions I receive, the more I will be able to accept! The due date is Tuesday, January 13, 5:00 p.m. Eastern U.S. time .

As you prepare your submission, please especially mindful of the following:

Your submission must be finalized in the electronic submission system. Please make sure that your submission is complete and has been finalized electronically by the deadline.

PLEASE follow the submission guidelines . Once the deadline is passed, I will not be able to communicate individually with submitters to ask them to make any corrections. The complete guidelines can be found online at http://aom.org/annualmeeting/submission/guidelines/

Note especially the following paper requirements :

    ·       Include the 5-digit submission ID as the running head of your paper.

    ·       Number the manuscript pages.

    ·       Do not identify yourself in your submission

    ·       Limit the length of your paper to 40 pages (Times New Roman 12-point font, double spaced, 1-inch (2.5 cm) margin all around, Letter size paper, not A4.)

    ·       The page count includes all pages: title page, abstract, main body text, figures/graphs/tables, and references (references only may be single-spaced.)

    ·       The in-text citations, references, tables, etc. should follow the formatting guidelines of the Academy of Management Journal. They can be found at: http://journals.aomonline.org/amj/style_guide.pdf

Not also the symposia requirements :

    ·       Include the 5-digit submission ID as the running head of your paper.

    ·       Number the manuscript pages.

    ·       Symposia are not blind reviewed. Reviewers will see the names and affiliations of the presenters, participants, and organizer(s)

    ·       The symposia submission should be in Times New Roman 12-point font, double spaced, 1-inch (2.5 cm) margin all around, Letter size paper, not A4..

    ·       Symposia (including panel discussions) have a higher chance of acceptance when they indicate potential co-sponsorship by other relevant divisions

Complete submission requirements for papers can be found at   http://aom.org/annualmeeting/submission/guidelines/#paperguideline . For symposia , the link is : http://aom.org/annualmeeting/submission/guidelines/#symposiumguideline

As you can imagine, the guidelines are intended to facilitate the review process. The ID number, helps avoids any errors in connecting a review with a submission. The page numbers are invaluable because they allow reviewers to refer to specific pages of the manuscript in their comments. And, the page limit ensures that all of you who volunteer to reviewer for AOM face a reasonable task.

Having said this, I encourage – if you have not already – to sign up now as reviewer for the Careers division , regardless of whether you plan to submit. Reviewing is an integral part of the scholarly process and an important responsibility we have to each other, at any career stage. The reviewer sign-up site is http://review.aomonline.org/aom.asp

Thank you for your help with this. I look forward to reading your papers.

    Regards,

    Corinne Post

    CAR Program Chair
