Dear members of the Careers Division,

The Hughes Award committee takes great pleasure to announce that Professor Barbara S. Lawrence, of University of California, Los Angeles, is the winner of the Everett C Hughes Award in Careers Scholarship. The Hughes Award is the Careers Division's premier award, given for exceptional contribution not only to the field of career studies but also to the larger arena of organizational studies. On both counts Barbara Lawrence has been proved exceptional scholar.

We look forward to the presentation of the award at the Academy of Management Meeting in Chicago, at the Careers Division Business Meeting.

    Yours,
