The Department of Management at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) seeks applicants for a tenure track position in Organizational Behavior or Human Resources Management at the Assistant Professor level. The preferred applicant will have completed their PhD within the last four years in human resources, organizational behavior, or a related field. We seek individuals who have demonstrated potential to publish in top-tier management journals, the capacity to teach OB or HRM courses at all levels, and the ability to work well in a collegial, interdisciplinary department.
Our department is research active with recent publications in top-tier management outlets including the Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Journal of Applied Psychology, Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Management, Journal of International Business Studies, and Journal of Business Venturing. We hold current editorial board appointments at journals including Journal of Applied Psychology, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Journal of Management, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, and Journal of Vocational Behavior.
The College of Business at UTA is AACSB accredited and offers a very supportive environment for research with salary, research support, and teaching loads competitive with other major research universities. The College of Business offers several masters programs, MBAs, and a PhD in Business Administration. It also operates one of the largest EMBA programs in China. Our PhD program allows opportunities to work with talented and motivated students. In addition to a number of undergraduate courses the department also offers an MS in Human Resource Management which provides a variety of teaching options.
