Dear Colleagues,We (Tim Theeboom, Prof. Dr. Annelies van Vianen and Dr. Bianca Beersma) are conducting a meta-analysis on the effectiveness of (workplace) coaching (both executive and non-executive coaching). We have already conducted an extensive backward and forward search for published studies (a list of references is attached to this email). However, we want to be sure that we include all relevant studies in our analysis. If you have a study that meets the criteria outlined below, published or unpublished, we would appreciate it if you could point us to the reference or better yet, send a copy of the paper/manuscript to t.theeboom@uva.nl We are looking for studies:
- That include quantative data on the effects of coaching on individuals and/or groups (we are interested in multiple dependent variables, such as, for example, GAS related measures, mental Health and well-being measures, objective and subjective performance measures etc.).
- in which coaching is provided by professional coaches or trained managers/peers
- in which the coaching procedure/process is clearly described
- in which the coachees belong to a non-clinical population
Since the analysis demands that all effects are transformed into a general effect size measure (mean based), the inclusion of the following statistics would be really helpful:
- Means and standard deviations of pre and post scores (for both experimental and control groups in a between-subjects or mixed design) and/or means and standard deviations of the difference scores
- Correlations among study variables, especially the correlations between pre- and post-scores on the dependent variables (for both experimental and control groups in a between-subjects or mixed design)
- The number of subjects per condition
Thanks in advance,
Tim Theeboom
Annelies van Vianen
Bianca Beersma
Met vriendelijke groet,
Kind regards,
Tim Theeboom
