    Dear Colleagues,

I hope you plan to submit a paper or symposium to the Careers division for presentation at the 2015 Academy of Management conference, in Vancouver, BC Canada. The number of Careers sessions at the conference is a direct function of the number of submissions – the more submissions I receive, the more I will be able to accept! The due date is Tuesday, January 13, 5:00 p.m. Eastern U.S. time.

As you prepare your submission, I would like to highlight just a few of the submission requirements. Please review the complete guidelines for papers and symposia submissions before submitting : http://aom.org/annualmeeting/submission/guidelines/

    Papers requirements highlights:

    ·       Your paper must not be more than 40 pages long, double-spaced, all inclusive (only the references may be single-spaced.)

    ·       The in-text citations, references, tables, etc. should follow the formatting guidelines of the Academy of Management Journal: http://journals.aomonline.org/amj/style_guide.pdf

    Symposia requirements highlights:

    ·       Symposia should fit a 90 minute session.

    ·       Symposia (including panel discussions) have a higher chance of acceptance when they indicate potential co-sponsorship by other relevant divisions.

    ·       Symposia submissions must follow the outline provided on the AOM website. For the precise content symposium submissions, please see the guidelines referenced above.

The guidelines are intended to facilitate the review process. In particular, the page limit and formatting requirements ensure that all of you who volunteer to review for AOM face a reasonable task.

Did I just say reviewers ? ... please sign up now as AOM reviewer for the Careers division – if you haven't already – regardless of whether you plan to submit. Reviewing is an integral part of the scholarly process and an important responsibility we have to each other, at any career stage. Please sign-up here: http://aom.org/annualmeeting/review/ ( t he actual review period is from January 21 to February 19, 2015)

Thank you for your help with all of this. I look forward to reading your papers.

    Regards,

    Corinne Post

    CAR Program Chair
