College of Business is deeply committed to providing a high quality student experience and a
productive research environment for faculty. Northern Illinois University, the second-largest
public university in the state of Illinois, is a comprehensive university with about 24,000 students
located in DeKalb, Illinois, which is 65 miles west of downtown Chicago. The College of
Business educates approximately 3,000 undergraduate and 800 graduate students.
The Management Department has 16 full-time faculty members who teach in the undergraduate,
evening MBA, and Professional and Executive MBA programs. Faculty members support
undergraduate programs in leadership and management, human resource management, and
business administration, as well as a variety of graduate management courses in the M.B.A. and
M.A.S. programs in the college. All programs are fully accredited by the AACSB. More

We seek applicants with a PhD, DBA, or ABD in Management or related field from an AACSB
accredited school. Applicants must show potential to be successful scholars in organizational
behavior and effective teachers at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and be able to
work collegially within the department and college. Successful teaching experience in an area of
management is required. A research and teaching background related to leadership, refereed
publications, and related business experience are desired. Applicants at associate rank must have
research record commensurate with experience. Support for research activity is offered and
includes summer support, travel, graduate assistants, and a reduced teaching load. The position
will commence in August 2012.

effectiveness, and three letters of reference. A.B.D. applicants must indicate the current status of
