As a primarily volunteer organization, it is necessary and important to provide opportunities for members to gain recognition for their outstanding contributions to the Academy and field of Management. I am serving as the Chair of the AOM Career Achievement Awards Committee for 2007-2008. As you know, this committee is responsible for reviewing nominations and selecting recipients for the following awards:
Distinguished Educator Award
Distinguished Scholar Practitioner Award Distinguished Service Award Scholarly Contributions to Management Award
We are counting on you to help us with identifying potential honorees within your division/interest group. We are extending the deadline for nominations to April 30th to widen the circle of potential nominees, and provide you with an opportunity to spotlight potential candidates with in your division. Please spread the word and recognize a deserving colleague within your field of study by nominating them for one of these Distinguished Awards.
As there are only a few short weeks left before the deadline, please send out an email to your Division's membership without delay. Please inform them of this action and ask them to consider nominating deserving colleagues. The call for nominations and past recipients are listed on the Academy of Management website.
