    Dear Colleagues,

I am presently recruiting expectant fathers for a qualitative study entitled, The Transition to Fatherhood: Men's Narrative Identity Work on the Path to Working Father. The purpose of this study is to investigate how men craft and enact their fatherhood identities, how they approach combining career and family, and what social and organizational constraints they face in the process.

Participation in this study involves being interviewed on two separate occasions, once before the birth of a first child and once within 6-12 months of the birth of this child.   Each interview is expected to last approximately 60 minutes.  Sample criteria are as follows:

    • First-time expectant father
    • Partnered/married
    • Bachelor's degree or above
    • Minimum 3-5 years full-time work experience in a professional/managerial role

If you know anyone who might be interested in participating in this study, please contact me at cbataille@ithaca.edu.  All participants will receive a copy of the Executive Feedback Report at the conclusion of the study.

    Thanks!
    Christine
