    THE UNIVERSITY OF WEST FLORIDA

    COLLEGE OF BUSINESS

     

    Applications are invited for a visiting, nine-month, non-tenure earning position at the Instructor or Assistant Professor level available August, 2007, as noted below and dependent upon funding. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

     

    One position in Management--Primary teaching duties will be undergraduate and graduate courses in Strategic Management. Candidates should have a secondary teaching emphasis in other sub-disciplines of Management such as Ethics, Entrepreneurship, Organization Behavior, Human Resource Management, or General Management.

     

    Preferred candidates will have a Ph.D. in teaching field or in a closely related field from an Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accredited school at the time of appointment. ABDs will be considered.

     

    The teaching load will be three or four courses per semester and will be negotiable.  This position may require teaching at other campuses of the university.  

     

    The College of Business is AACSB accredited with over 1800 students enrolled in six undergraduate majors and two masters programs. The main campus of The University of West Florida is located in Pensacola, the crown jewel of Florida's beautiful Emerald Coast, known worldwide for its pristine white-sand beaches.

    Dear Careers Division Colleagues:

     

    It's not too late to submit a paper to the Careers Track at the Eastern Academy of Management.  One outstanding submission will be selected for the Michael J. Driver Best Careers Paper in the Regions Award.  The winning paper will compete for best overall paper (of all the regions) and the authors will receive an award at the Academy of Management meeting in August.

     

    I hope to see you in May in New Brunswick!

    The deadline for submission to the Eastern Academy of Management has been extended to December 15th, 2006.
