    The Department of Management and Marketing in the College of Business at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania is seeking applicants for two full-time tenure-track positions (AA# 97-4-379 and 97-4-380) at the Assistant/Associate level beginning Fall 2016, with the possibility of a start date as early as Spring 2016.  Bloomsburg University serves about 10,000 students and is located in a picturesque small town in beautiful north central Pennsylvania, approximately 50 miles southwest of Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and 30 miles west of the Pocono Mountains.  The area boasts excellent public schools with an affordable cost of living and abundant lifestyle opportunities.  New York, Philadelphia, and Baltimore-Washington metro centers are all within a few hours' drive. 
     
    The College of Business (COB) is accredited by AACSB with 40+ full-time tenure/tenure track faculty serving 1,700 students. The COB offers three graduate programs: Master of Accountancy, Master in Business Education, and Master of Business Administration.  The COB's Zeigler Institute for Professional Development (ZIPD) offers a comprehensive educational experience designed to build the personal and professional capacities necessary for career success through training and education in business etiquette, professional attire, interviewing, networking, and resume writing.
     
    The Department is seeking qualified individuals to teach a wide variety of marketing courses, including but not limited to marketing management, sales, international marketing, integrated marketing communications, social media, marketing research and analytics.  Interested individuals should possess high proficiency in or show potential for teaching. Academic requirements include an earned doctorate in marketing or related field from an accredited institution by no later than December 31, 2016.  Special considerations will be given to individuals with specialization in (1) integrated marketing communications and social media and (2) marketing research and analytics.  A proven track record or strong evidence of potential for effective teaching and research is required.  Scholarly activity, student advising, and service are integral parts of this faculty position.  Demonstrated ability to work with and/or knowledge of diverse populations is required.  Related business experience is desirable 
     
    Instructional delivery may occur through on-line, traditional, and alternative instructional methods and can take place on the main campus or off site educational locations.  Voluntary summer and winter contracts may be available.
     
    Marketing faculty are currently housed with management faculty in the Department of Management and Marketing.  Plans are to create a separate Department of Marketing in the near future.  In order to better serve our students, Concentration in Professional Selling was recently launched. The minor in Professional Selling is planned for Spring 2016.  Additional concentrations that better serve our expanding student body are planned.
     
    Finalists must communicate well and successfully complete the interview process and teaching demonstration, as judged by the department faculty.  Recommendation for hiring by the majority of the regular, full-time department faculty will be made to the Dean.  Prior to a final offer of employment, the selected candidates will be required to submit to a background check, including, but not limited to, employment verification, educational and other credential verification, Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, and criminal background check.
