IWP Conference 2012 – Call for papers

The Institute of Work Psychology, University of Sheffield, is holding its
biennial International Conference in Sheffield, UK, titled 'Work, Wellbeing
and Performance: Thriving in times of uncertainty', on the 26th-28th June
2012. This conference follows our extremely successful events in 2008 and
2010 each of which attracted over 200 delegates from 36 different countries.

The conference will feature three internationally recognised keynote
speakers - Professor Talya Bauer, School of Business Administration,
Portland State University; Professor Gilad Chen, Robert H. Smith School of
Business, The University of Maryland; and Professor Sharon Parker, UWA
Business School, The University of Western Australia.

A full scholarly programme will involve paper presentations and interactive
sessions. A series of pre-conference workshops, training courses in
statistical methods and a Postgraduate and Early Career Scholar event are
    also scheduled.

The conference theme, Thriving in times of uncertainty, encourages us to
consider what facilitates high performance and well-being in challenging
times. We encourage academics and practitioners to focus on the positive
contribution that work psychology, OB, HRM, and related areas can make in a
    post-recovery climate.

We invite high quality submissions in OB and HRM and all areas of work,
    organisational,industrial, occupational and vocational psychology.
Submissions to the scholarly programme can be for paper presentations,
poster presentations, symposia, round tables, and work-in-progress
presentations of ongoing projects. We particularly encourage symposium
    submissions.

The conference theme, Thriving in times of uncertainty, encourages us to
consider what facilitates high performance and well-being in challenging
times. We encourage submissions that focus on the positive contribution that
occupational/I-O psychology and related areas such as OB and HRM can make in
    a post-recovery climate.

The deadline for submissions is Friday 18th November 2011.

Further details on the conference and submission guidelines can be found on
