Dear Career Division Member:
Many of you are aware of the Michael J. Driver Award for Best Careers Paper in the Regions. "The award was established by and receives continuing support from the Careers Division in order to enhance the relationship between the Division and the regional affiliates of the Academy of Management" (from the archives of Careers Division provided by Gayle Baugh). The Award is intended to foster an inclusive Careers Division where members located in the regions can participate through their regional conferences - even when they might not be able to attend the Academy of Management meeting because of costs or other constraints.
If you've been seeking an opportunity to participate with the Careers Division, I would like to invite you to be a reviewer for the Driver Award in the Western region. Papers are available for review immediately. We seek reviewers who can judge works using the following criteria:
1. Theoretical and empirical foundations,
2. Theoretical and empirical interest,
3. Extent to which the writing is effective/compelling
4. Innovativeness
5. Worthiness to be recognized by the Careers Division
Won't you sign up to be a reviewer today? If you are interested in reviewing for Western Academy of Management (and we hope that you are), please contact Holly Slay Ferraro at
ferraroh@seattleu.edu.
Best,
Holly
