Dear Careers Division community,
Many of you are busy with preparing symposia and finalizing papers for the next Academy of Management, but there are many more opportunities that would allow you to meet interesting colleagues, exercise leadership skills, and most of all help our Careers Division to develop! Among these opportunities is serving to the division!
I would like to use this opportunity to recognize the contribution of the following CAR members who shared their time and energy with the division making our annual conference experience so inspirational!
A great Thank You to:
- Suzanne De Janasz – who concluded her service as Past Division Chair in 2012, and through running the last year elections assured that Careers Division would transition in great hands of our colleagues.
- Corinne Post, Wendy Marcinkus Murphy, Jean-Luc Cerdin– Representatives at Large – who did an incredible job of expanding Careers Division membership, and put CAR on the list of most progressive AoM communities.
- Gayle Baugh – who served for years as a secretary of the division making sure that the division is highly organized. Gayle become editor of "Group & Organization Management", and invites all of you to submit your work and become reviewers for the journal.
This year many more officers will be rotating, thus we are looking for:
- PDW Chair
- Program Chair
- Treasurer
- Newsletter editor
- Three (3) Representatives at Large
You will receive an official invitation from AOM to nominate yourself or colleagues for these roles around February. But I would like to encourage you to start thinking whether you might be interested in serving our division already now.
