Dear Colleagues,
Below and attached is an announcement of a psychology faculty position
(assistant/associate level) that could be appropriate for many on this
list. We are looking for someone who does field ressearch that is
interdisciplinary in nature. Some examples could be aging workers, career
development, work-family, occupational health psychology, impact of
technology, among other things. Please forward to anyone who might be
interested.
The University of South Florida is seeking
up to three scholars who can advance a new interdisciplinary initiative in
the area of "Sustainable Communities." As indicated in the attached ad,
the faculty recruited for this program may be housed in any of several
departments in Social and Behavioral Sciences, or the Humanities.
Thus, it is entirely possible for one, or more, of these positions to
be offered to scholars with a background in OHP who would
prefer an appointment in the Department of Psychology at USF.
Of interest are faculty whose work is relevant to the health and
sustainability of communities, either local or global. "Health and
sustainability" includes physical and mental health, impact of
technology, social institutions such as the family or organizations,
ethnicity, and gender. Preference will be given to candidates whose
research is community or field based. Areas of research of interest
within the framework of this initiative include, but are not limited
to, the aging workforce, the health and well-being of working
parents and their children, global work and careers, social
networks, and occupational health and safety.
