Publishing in top tier journals is a primary means by which research papers are made better and ultimately disseminated as new knowledge. Publishing in such journals is often critically important to career success and awareness of how these journals vary in their positioning, review processes and appetite for careers/HR research are important subjects for scholars making tough choices about where to submit your work.
The goal of this PDW is to share info and have a dialogue regarding the publishing of careers-related research in five top management journals
(AMJ, AMR, OrgSci, Human Relations, HRM) as well as in a top careers journal
(CDI). This panel of six associate and senior editors will address topics including: their journal's vision, scope, positioning (including why scholars should consider their journals and what careers research they are most interested in), key editorial policies, publishing process insights and tips on writing a successful papers for their journals. These six individual presentations will then be followed up by an open Q&A session with audience members.
