Read new special issues in The Journal of Vocational Behavior

Understanding the Experiences, Attitudes and Behaviors of Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Minority Employees (Vol 103)

Guest Editors Larry Martinez and Katina Sawyer say… "Within 14 top journals in the organizational sciences, an examination of 30,386 published articles yielded only 40 that referenced sexual orientation or gender identity within their abstracts. This special issue aims to change that, by contributing 7 high-quality articles examining the workplace experiences of sexual orientation and gender identity minorities. Prefaced by a commentary on the state of LGBT research, the issue tackles work-family conflict, discrimination, disclosure, and allyship in LGBT populations. This issue will be of interest to scholars who study diversity and anyone who wishes to enhance their understanding of employee populations overall."

Vocational Behavior of Refugees: How Do Refugees Seek Employment, Overcome Work-related Challenges, and Navigate Their Careers? (Vol 105)

Guest Editors Alexander Newman, Jenny Bimrose, Ingrid Nielsen, Hannes Zacher say… "The special issue on the vocational behavior of refugees contains 12 conceptual and empirical articles which advance our understanding around how refugees seek employment, manage their careers and overcome challenges when relocating to a new environment. In light of the largest displacement of refugees in modern history the special issue provides important insights for policy makers, vocational counseling organisations and other support agencies looking to assist refugees to re-establish their careers."
