    Among relevant research topics for this position are careers, leadership, workplace wellbeing, work engagement, performance management, talent development, recruitment and selection, AI and personnel psychology.
    As an assistant professor at VU, you work in the supportive international environment of the Organisational Behaviour and HRM research section. We are part of the Management and Organisation Department of the School of Business and Economics. Our culture can be characterized by a strong commitment towards research quality and productivity, teaching innovation, teamwork and executive education.

    Your duties

    • initiating and performing high-quality research in the field of Organisational Behaviour and Human Resources Management. Your research results in top tier publications and grant acquisitions
    • teaching and designing courses at the master level (e.g., MSc Business Administration, and/or MBA and Executive MBA), and bachelor level (e.g., the SBE International Business Administration). You also supervise bachelor and master theses
    • supervising PhD candidates 
    • contributing to the Department and School, e.g. by serving on committees

    REQUIREMENTS

    • you have a PhD in Organizational Behavior or Human Resources Management, Organisational Psychology/Science, or a related field in the Social Sciences
    • you are fluent in both English and Dutch
    • a strong track record of research publications in top tier journals is a strong asset
    • experience with education at both MSc and postgraduate/executive levels is an asset
    • you have a university teaching qualification (BKO). If not, you are committed to obtaining this

    WHAT ARE WE OFFERING?

    A challenging position in a socially involved organization. On full-time basis the remuneration amounts to a minimum gross monthly salary of € 3,974 (scale 11) and a maximum of € 5,439 (scale 11), depending on your education and experience. The job profile: is based on the university job ranking system and is vacant for at least 1 FTE.
    The tenure track position involves research (40%) and teaching (60%). At the end of the second year a performance evaluation will take place. The Tenure Track Committee will review your file including the evaluation and advice on the continuation of your tenure track. In the fifth year, the Tenure Track Committee will review your file in order to decide upon the tenured assignment, based on the assessment criteria of the Tenure Track system at SBE.
