    The Department of Management and Leadership at Texas Christian University invites applications for the position of Assistant/Associate Professor of Management (tenure-track) within the Neeley School of Business. Successful candidates will begin employment in Fall 2023.

     

    Description

    Successful candidates will demonstrate significant research and teaching accomplishments in organizational behavior or closely related fields. Primary responsibilities include conducting high quality research and teaching undergraduate and/or MBA courses. Collegiality and a demonstrated ability to work with others are highly valued. The teaching load and salary are competitive and commensurate with qualifications.

    The department provides an exceptional work environment, with highly supportive colleagues who are dedicated to the vision of being world class thought leaders. The tenured/tenure-track OB faculty include Abbie Shipp (department chair), David Allen, Michael Cole, Hettie Richardson, Mary Uhl-Bien, Ning "Alex" Li, and Teodora Tomova Shakur. We realize this vision through excellence in research, teaching and professional service. Faculty engage in research and regularly publish in top journals, with publications in recent years in Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Management, Personnel Psychology, and The Leadership Quarterly, among others. Our faculty are editors of top journals in their disciplines, hold leadership positions in the Academy of Management, and serve on editorial boards of the premier journals in management.     The Neeley School of Business

    The TCU Neeley School of Business is comprised of six academic departments including Accounting, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Information Systems and Supply Chain Management, Management and Leadership, Marketing, and Finance. The TCU Neeley School of Business has an annual enrollment of 3,248 (2021-2022) undergraduate and graduate students, 215 employees and 24,595 alumni. The Neeley School is proud to be fully accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International) for our undergraduate and graduate programs. In addition, our Accounting department is among an elite number (less than 200) accredited by AACSB.

     

    TCU Neeley has been nationally ranked in several outlets, including 19th by Poets and Quants in their recent rankings of Best Undergraduate Business Programs. Careers and Employment Opportunities was ranked at #10 in the U.S. and #1 in Texas by Poets & Quants. TCU Neeley was ranked 15th in undergraduate Entrepreneurial Studies in 2020 according to The Princeton Review and Entrepreneur magazine. The MBA program has been ranked 45th in the U.S. by The Economist, and 1st for MBA Faculty Quality. The undergraduate supply chain program was ranked 14th in North America and the graduate supply chain program was ranked 16th in North America by Gartner. The Executive MBA program was ranked 13th in the world, 8th in the U.S. and 1st in Texas by The Economist. TCU's accounting graduates regularly achieve the #1 CPA exam pass rate in Texas. The accounting program was ranked 20th in the U.S. for undergraduate programs and 21st among graduate programs of its size by the Public Accounting Report.

    Requirements

    Candidates for the position should possess (or expect completion of by August, 2023) an earned doctorate in management or I/O psychology.
