    Congratulations to all the finalists!!

    We are kicking things off with the Michael Driver Best Symposium Award. This year's Chair-Elect is Denise Denise Jepsen and Program Chair is Serge Da Motta Veiga. The highest-rated symposium was selected based on reviewer ratings and a panel of judges.

    The three nominees are:

    Novel Perspectives on Gender and Careers; Authors: Shoshana Schwartz, Christopher Newport University; Pooria Assadi, California State University Sacramento

    Understanding the (In)effectiveness of Organizational Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Efforts; Authors: Seval Gündemir, University of Amsterdam;

    Astrid C. Homan, University of Amsterdam

    Meaning of Work in Crisis Contexts; Authors: Eunice Eun, Yale School of Management; Winnie Jiang, INSEAD

    The committee with a panel of experts included Noemi Nagy (Chair), Annabelle Hofer, Jeffrey Yip, and Patrick Garcia

    And the winner is…

    Meaning of Work in Crisis Contexts; Authors: Eunice Eun, Yale School of Management; Winnie Jiang, INSEAD

    The panel noted several strengths: a topic that was relevant and timely with the global crisis, studies that were linked to broader Careers conversations at multiple levels of analysis, complementary methodologies (longitudinal cross-country surveys, experimental data, interviews with downshifters and relational partners, longitudinal interviews, follow-up interviews, archival data and observations, and a multi-faceted view on crises – societal, COVID-19 Pandemic, occupational level threats, and chronic pain.
