    On behalf of Careers,

    We would like to recognize the Careers Division Mid-Career Careers Scholar Award. This year's Chair-Elect is @Serge Da Motta Veiga, Past Chair is @Denise JepsenProgram Chair is @Daniel Spurk and PDW Chair is @Jennifer Tosti-Kharas

    An expert panel consisting of @Alexander Newman, @Shoshana Dobrow, @Corinne Post made their collective decision based on the full track record of quality and quantity of published career research, policy and applied impact on careers scholarship, practice, and society, and leadership behaviors including the development of career scholars or career practitioners. 

    Congratulations to all the nominees!!

      And the winner is...

      @Jos Akkermans

      The committee recognizes all of Jos's accomplishments:

      • His impact on careers scholarship, and the leadership behaviors he exemplifies through key roles in Careres, senior editorship at leading career journals, and organization of CarCon
      • He is known globally for his groundbreaking work on career sustainability, career shocks, and career competencies, accumulating well over 5,000 citations in the past 5 years 
      • His work has made important contributions to practice through his development of CareerSKILLS and Career LEAP programs 
      • Jos embodies career scholarship at its best and is the kind of scholar this award is meant to recognize

      Note: The committee decided not to award a runner's up award this year as the remaining candidates were all strong in their own ways, and none rose above the others
