This is a quick reminder and a bit more information about voting in the Division's election. We are doing well with more than 20% of members having voted already. That's fabulous, great engagement and investment in the future of our Division. Thank you to those who have voted already.
For most people voting is a two minute task, but I have received about one email a week from Division members who haven't been able to vote. Thanks to those members we have identified some hitches that may be impacting on others also.
To those who have not yet voted, you should have received an election announcement email from "car@aom.org via SurveyMonkey" inviting you to vote in CAR's elections. That email includes a unique personalized link that will take you to CAR's election ballot so you can vote.
Possible reasons that you have not been able to find that votiing email include:
- Blocked email: Some university IT systems have blocked the email from SurveyMonkey. If that's you, the allow list and domain names to give your IT department are at FAQ at the AOM Help Center
- Spam: Because the email comes from SurveyMonkey rather than AOM, the email may end up in your spam folder. Please check that folder. (Systems differ - one member said she had to login to her work email through the web browser to see the email in her spam folder.)
- Disabled communication preferences: Some members have disabled their emails from AOM and their "Governance and Ethics" communications from AOM are unsubscribed. To update your communication preferences, login to your AOM profile at https://myaccount.aom.org/
- Delayed delivery: The voting links are rolled out by SurveyMonkey, rather than disseminated all at once, so it may take a few hours or more for all your Divisions' emails to arrive in your inbox. Don't panic, just wait a while. Be reassured that your SurveyMonkey emails are coming through.
So if you have not seen your voting email, please try the above solutions. If they don't work, email me at denise.jepsen@mq.edu.au and we can work it through.
Elections will close on 10th June.
