    Dear CAR colleagues and friends,

Voting for this year's AOM and Careers Division elections has now closed and the results are in!

Many thanks to everyone who took the time to vote for our new division leaders and representatives, to run for office and to nominate candidates. Your vote matters greatly as often our elections are quite close with this year being no exception.

For 2024, we had 20% of the division voting, which is slightly less than previous years, putting us in the middle of the pack of response rates as compared to all other divisions/interest groups.  Please know that we appreciate your involvement and we enjoy having such an engaged membership. Thank you! Thank you!

And now, here are the results of the elections:

Our new PDW Chair is Janine Bosak (janine.bosak@dcu.ie) from Dublin City University, Ireland. She will serve a 5-year term as part of the leadership track, fulfilling the roles of PDW Chair, Program Chair, Chair-Elect, Division Chair, and Immediate Past Chair in succession over the next several years.

We also have three new Representatives-at-Large, who will each serve three-year terms. They are, in alphabetical order:

Mirit Grabarski (mgrabars@lakeheadu.ca) from the Lakehead University, Canada

Eric Michel (ericjmichel@niu.edu) from Northern Illinois University, USA

Katja Wehrle (Katja.Wehrle@psychol.uni-giessen.de) from Justus-Liebig University Giessen, Germany

We are truly thrilled to have such an outstanding and engaged group of colleagues and leaders joining our CAR Executive Committee and we very much look forward to what I am sure will be many valuable contributions. Please join me in congratulating them!

A special thank you also goes out to those who ran for office but did not get elected. We greatly appreciate your involvement and your willingness to serve. Each of you received significant support from our membership in what was another close election.  We very much hope you will run again in the future.

On behalf of the CAR Nominating Committee, a hearty CONGRATULATIONS and THANK YOUS all the way around!

    All the very best,

    Rick
