The committee generated ratings on novelty, innovative research methods, inspiring future careers research, contributing to career practice, and connecting with the Careers Division.

The panel noted several strengths: introduction of the concept of career-oriented social media that was guided by social comparison theory and facilitation of future research in an understudied yet relevant area, application of time-lagged design and moderated-mediation model, use of trade-offs and implications for social media users and graduate job seekers, and advice to focus on job information, instead of making comparisons.
