Dear CAR colleagues,
Voting for this year's Careers Division elections closed last week, and the results are in! Many thanks to everyone who took the time to vote for our new division leaders and representatives. Your voices certainly mattered, as some of the elections were very close. This year, we had around 23% of the division voting, which is similar to previous years and slightly higher than the overall AOM voting rate. It's great to see such an engaged membership!
Here are the results of the elections:
Our new PDW Chair is Jennifer Tosti-Kharas from Babson College, USA. She will serve a 5-year term as part of the leadership team, fulfilling the roles of PDW Chair, Program Chair, Chair-Elect, Division Chair, and Immediate Past Chair in the upcoming years.
We also have three new representatives-at-large, who will all serve three-year terms. They are, in alphabetical order:
Katja Dlouhy from the University of Mannheim, Germany
Madeleine Haenggli from the University of Carlos III Madrid, Spain
Annabelle Hofer from the University of Cologne, Germany
We are excited to have such an outstanding group of colleagues joining our CAR executive committee team, and we already look forward to all of their valuable contributions. Please join me in congratulating them!
A special thank you also goes out to the people who agreed to run for office but were not elected. We greatly appreciate your contributions and willingness to serve. Every one of you received significant support from our membership, and we hope you will consider running again in the future.
Best wishes, on behalf of the CAR nominations committee,
Jos
