The Management and Organizational Development (MOD) Group of the D'Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University is seeking candidates for three newly created positions in the following areas:<u1:p></u1:p>
<u1:p> </u1:p>
- Leadership. (Associate or Full Professor level). We are interested in candidates with a proven research record focused on leadership. This includes, but is not limited to, scholars engaged in impactful research related to formal or informal leadership, leadership within diverse types of groups and organizations, and/or human-centered leadership. Candidates with an interdisciplinary focus are also encouraged to apply, as opportunities to engage with other colleges and institutes within Northeastern University are available.<u1:p></u1:p>
- Mental Health and Well-Being (Open Rank). We are interested in candidates with interdisciplinary interests at the intersection of organizational behavior/management and health sciences. We are particularly interested in applicants with research and teaching expertise focused on behavioral approaches to health and well-being in the future of work. This includes, but is not limited to, mental and behavioral health, the role of "nudges" in impacting health, emotional thriving, and well-being, and the effects of various behavioral indicators on healthcare outcomes. Candidates may be considered for a joint appointment between the D'Amore-McKim School of Business (primary appointment) and the Bouvé College of Health Sciences (secondary appointment).<u1:p></u1:p>
- AI and Creativity (Open Rank). We are interested in candidates with interdisciplinary interests in organizational behavior/management and the future of technology/design. We are particularly interested in applicants with research and teaching expertise focused on organizational creativity and generative AI. This includes, but is not limited to, ethical use of data, human-centered AI, and brainstorming and extended reality experiences. Candidates may be considered for a joint appointment between the D'Amore-McKim School of Business (primary appointment) and the College of Arts, Media, and Design (secondary appointment).<u1:p></u1:p>
Candidates interested in conducting high-impact research programs and teaching excellence in the above areas are highly encouraged to apply. We seek candidates who can contribute to our holistic commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. We also seek candidates who are interested and able to teach and conduct research in an interdisciplinary manner, given the potential for formal joint appointments across colleges. Candidates are required to hold a doctorate in Management or a related field by the start date. The MOD Group currently has 13 full-time, research active, tenured or tenure-track faculty, and seven full-time non-tenure track faculty. Members of the group are Fellows of the Academy of Management, the Society of Industrial and Organizational Psychology and serve as editors, associate editors, and editorial review board members at leading management journals. The group emphasizes a leading-edge research program that targets top-tier journals and a strong commitment to teaching excellence. Primary teaching responsibilities will be at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
