We are happy to invite AOM Annual Meeting participants to the Professional Development Workshop "Teaching Careers – Fresh Ideas and Best Practices".
The PDW connects experienced academic educators with faculty aiming to enrich their teaching portfolios with career-related issues. Building on established theory and practice, we will discuss teaching concepts for topics such as career orientation and choices, career self-management, career success/satisfaction, networking, serendipity, and the "Intelligent Career" framework.
First, a panel discussion featuring Mila Lazarova, Beatrice Van der Heijden, Peter Heslin, Wolfgang Mayrhofer and Günter K. Stahl focuses on how to incorporate career-related topics in courses on HRM, Leadership, OB, Strategy and International Management.
In the second part of the PDW, every participant can select three out of five roundtables on classroom activities regarding the above career topics. Maike Andresen, Silvia Dello Russo, Peter Heslin, Pamela Suzanne and Marijke Verbruggen are happy to share their experiences.
